Akshay Kumar has recently shared his look as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from his upcoming Marathi period drama Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. However, the actor received severe criticism on social media after netizens found a technical flaw of an ‘electric bulb goof-up’ in the look. And joining the trollers is actor Prakash Raj, who took a sly dig at Kumar. He shared a hilarious meme featuring Akshay and PM Narendra Modi while mocking his Chhatrapati look. 

Taking to his Twitter handle, the Singham actor shared a funny meme showing two pictures, one of Akshay standing with PM Modi and the other of his look as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the meme, Modi asked Akshay, “Shivaji Maharaj ke time electric bulb kaise aa gaye gutka khor?" To which the actor replied, “Waise hi jaise aapke pass 1988 mein digital camera aa gaya tha.” Sharing this hilarious meme, Prakash Raj wrote, “Mann Ki Baat” and added a hashtag #JustAsking. One Twitter user asked him, “Just tell me one GENUINE reason why r u TROLLING Akshay? U have worked with him so u would have known what a genuine person he is. Why?? Or he is the soft target for you all?? Just vending ur frustration on him. And he is not endorsing GUTKA.”

Talking about the film, ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ has been directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and also stars Jay Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde, Vishal Nikam, Virat Madke, Hardik Joshi, Satya, Akshay, Nawab Khan, and Praveen Tarde. The period drama will release in cinemas on Diwali 2023 in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.
